I will be using a Comp Cams Thumpr cam(part# 12-601-8)with .522/.509 lift with 1.5 rockers, the cam calls for a 2500+ stall converter and I have a 2500 stall so if I use the 1.6 rockers I know it will bump the lift up some and will I have to get a bigger stall converter or will the 2500 converter still work?THANKS

normally the stall is based on the duration numbers which effects the power band. The 1.6 rockers will only change the lift so you should be fine with that convertor. Should be .557/.543 with 1.6.

technically they do change the duration numbers, but it's so insignificant it's not worth worrying about.

I stand corrected... funny how no one answered the first post but some people love to correct someone actually trying to help. Actual duration numbers change slightly from 1.5 to 1.6, more if you are going from stock 1.5 rocker which are usually more like 1.45:1. Of course, the change is greater as the lift is increased. If you really want to get technical, stall speed is affected but many factors, so a 2500 may be more or less with different combos.

I think 1.6 rockers will only hurt it. Those cams are not made for low end torque, so increasing the size of it at all is going to make it even more lazy.

Higher ratios combined with the fast opening rates of Comps' cam lobes isn't a good mix. Increases stress on the valvetrain & more lobe/lifter wear.
