I have heard that a 28x 10.5 slick will fit the Malibu without any mods. Is this true? If so, what back space and all that good stuff???

That's the exact wheel and b/s I have, so is your tire up in the wheel well?

I know it doesn't fit with a 4.5 bs. I just tried it now. Pretty frustrated. I hate tires and wheels. Im not sure what I am going to do now. Either going to have to go with a 28x11.50 ET Street again or a 275/60 Radial. :x

What rear end do you have? What is the measurement.. I know with my QP 9" my drivers side with that back space is 1/2 inch from the frame and tucked in the wheel well..The Pass side is alittle farther from the frame but still tucks..

I used to run a 28x12.5 Et Street. It was tight and rubber a little on the frame rail. It wasn't too bad though. These pics were taken with a set of cargo springs in the rear. I switched to a set of stock springs and it lowered the rear about an inch. It looked a lot better and still didn't rub. The only mod I did to the body was roll the lip.

Thanks for the info, but my car sits much lower. Any pics with a car this low and NO mods with a 28x 10.5 tire??

With the new springs the car just barely tucks the top of the tire. I ended up changing to a 295-65-15 MT ET Radial.
