12" brakes work too good

Well I finally upgraded to the 12" brakes and B spindles 2 week's ago. Today I slid right into the rear end end of a Camry. When applied hard the front brakes lock up and skid. I guess i need those 7" rims and 225/50/15 tires and rear disks with adjustable proportionig valve. I have been verey happy with the brakes till now. I have 205/60/15 front tires on 4.5" rims now. Just not enough tire up front. The rear drums did not lock up or skid at all and they are 1 week old. I feel i need more rear brake and front tire to balamce out the system with an adjustable proportionig valve to balance front and rear. Here are some pics.

An adjustable proportioning valve won't help. They can only reduce pressure to the rear brakes. They can't make the rear brakes work harder or the front brakes work less. You have another problem somewhere in the system. It's possible the rear shoes are out of adjustment. Also,the combo valve should still work properly regardless of front disc size.

You might want to throw some 7/8" wheel cylinders from an 85 S-10 with manual brakes on there. That will definitely help out with rear braking!

I have 7" wheel front, with 225/60-15 BFG G-force Sport tires.
If i push hard on the brakes, everybody kisses the windshield in the car, but its very hard to lock those tires...im VERY happy with them...the car stops on a dime, but never skids.

That is exactly what I am working on. 225-50-15 on 7" weld draghlite rims if i can find some used. Or i will go with S-10 Rims
