Don't know if this will help much because I have a GN and heard there is more room on the Malibu's. Anyway I notched mine to the inside of the frame and widened the well tubs at the front and back.

I have 15X10 with 5" BS and 28.5X11.5 slicks. No rub on the inside but if my car squatted I would have to do something with the wheel lip.

The rear doesn't change anything unless of course it has been narrowed. From what I've been told the Malibu has a little more room in the rear tire area.

Dont want to hijack this forum. but i have an 81 malibu, 2 door with a GN rear stock length and 28x10.5 slick. Frame rail has been C notched and wheel lip rolled back.
I want a 15x10 rim to make the tire more full for a better foot print. cant get a straight answer on back spacing....Help .......

I would think that if you have the frame half notched you could use 4.75 with a rolled lip no problem. Like I said earlier I was told there is more room on the Malibu then the Regal.
