15x8 or 15x10

I plan on buyn some wheels monday, but still undecided on what wheel! 15x10 6.5bs or the 15x8 5.5bs. Im gonna run a 28x10.5, so what do you guys think? Will there be a diffrence. Im gonna notch the frame rear is 12bolt from a chevelle. jegs brand versus weld is there a diffrence besides price? Thanks!! Any pics and suggestions are greatly apprecaited!!!

I run the same size tire on mine, and I've got them on 15x10's with a 5.5" backspace....my frame is notched, they wouldn't fit otherwise.

I will never run a 28x10.5 on an 8" wheel again. It's just too small and makes for piss poor top end stability.

I was told i would need a 6.5bs with 1/4 spacers. Do you have any pics Elcoholic?

the guy that did my frame notch test fitted wheels for me....for 15x8 he said 4.5"bs...and for 15x10 5.5". they fit just fine....I do have my inner fender lips shaved as well....I have a couple pics....hopefully they help ya...

thanks alot! I have a 12bolt so the 15x10 6.5 will prob be correct, the 15x8 will be 5.5.

I have 15x8s now but want 15x10s 5.5bs.
The 12bolt will be different. If you know how wide it is someone here could tell you for sure.

I run a 69 olds 12 bolt with 15x10 6.5 bs. They fit very snug but no rubbing at all. Worst case you might need a 1/4" spacer.

Here is a 15x10 with a 5.5" bs on a stock width rear. The tire is bigger than what you are taking but you can atleast see the wheel. The tire is a 315/60 MT on a max frame notch

Here is a 15x10 with a 6" bs on the same rear end with a 325/50 M/T
