15x8 rims... biggest tires I can run on my wagon?

I'm getting a set of vintage rims for my 83 wagon for a great price, otherwise I wouldn't go 15x8 all around!

So what are the biggest I can run in the rear without rubbing? And slightly smaller in the front I would imagine, like a 215 or something?

The rims fit on a Nova... but I have no idea what the backspacing or anything is. All he knows is they are 5 lug 4.75" bolt pattern.

I've run 235/60/15's on front and 255/60/15's on the rear. The 235's may rub a little when you turn depending on off set. I ran them on 15x8 GM rallys with a 4" back space (i think) and it worked. The 255's fit nice. 275's will fit too.

255 is plenty enough! I just didn't want to rub the inner fenders or anything.

I'll just be getting some BF Goodrich Radial TA's or something.

I don't know about the difference between wagons and 2 doors, but here is 275/60/15's mounted on 15X8 W 4" BS.
There is about 1/4" to 3/8" from tire to stock frame and it will rub on the outer inner fender with rolled lip about 1/2 way up inside. 255's will be my next choice when these wear out.

and the same tire w/15X8.5" and 3.5" BS
