15x8 w/ 5.5bs on an 84 Grand Prix

OK, I have a set of Drag Lites, 15x8 w/5.5bs for my 12bolt conversion in my 79 Malibu, however, I was wanting to mount these on my sons stock rear 84 Grand Prix and was wondering if they would fit and if so, what size tire do I need to keep it from rubbing?

wont fit with a stock rear. needs a 3.5 or 4 backspace. those are gonna look horrible tucked in way too far plus i dont think any size tire is gonna clear.

Thats what I was thinking, but wanted to check before I broke everything down and got pissed off...lol

Thanks, I was planning on it, however I have a set of draglites and I was trying to take some weight out of the car to try and let my son run True Street at the NMCA event in Bowling Green and need to get a stock 305 in the 15 flat area... All I'm doing to the motor now is a Performer intake and 600 Edelbrock curve kit in the distributor and pulling all the emissions stuff and maybe slap my Shoenfield hedders and flow masters on it....
