Has anyone got the early Z-28 wheels on their Bu? If so please send me a picture of them on. I have an opportunity to get a set dirt cheap and was wondering what they would look like. Also, are they a direct fit? I have a set of Rallys on it now and they look good, but its time for a change. Thanks

If you mean the N90 alloy wheels, you're better off with 87 Monte SS wheels. The Z28 wheel has 4.25" back spacing, the Monte SS wheel has 3.75." I don't know if the Z28 back spacing is too much. The SS wheel is made for the G-body & doesn't use the stupid Unilugs that the 80's F-body alloys used. I got a set of 4 refinished SS wheels with center caps & cap decals for $600.00 including tire mounting, balancing & valve stems.

No I am not talking about the N90's. They ran 80 and 81 I believe. I am talking about the wheels that ran from 70-81. Around 78 or 79 they started painting them the same color as the car. I added a link of what they look like.

I had those wheels on my 1983 wagon.

I painted them the color of the car and used Chevelle center caps (blue bowties). The Z-28 caps are the same design, but with a different sticker.

On the front, I used 5/16 spacers or else I could not install the center cap. Another member used them on a 1978 and the center caps fit without a spacer, but the 1978 spindle is different than 1979-1988.

i have them on my 87 camino, the fronts fit perfect.i dont know what the others are meaning by the center cap wont fit without a spacer.the rears fit fine if you run a 70 series tire,if you wanna run a 60 series you need a 1/4 in spacer or else the tires will rub especially on the l/s and chew up the harness(ask me how i know this  )they look very nice on it also but they weigh a ton!!!!much heavier then rallys(which i also ran on it and fit perfect even with a 275-60 but now im gonna be running draglites cause i gotta lighten her up a lil bit.if i knew how to download pics i would but i gotta tell ya, i love the way they look on it.
