1978 Malibu classic Driveshaft length questions

originally a 305 with th350 i believe. now as i said a 396 with th350. i know motor moves back a bit but im going to have a custom drive-shaft made to handle the power etc. anyone here know the length of said drive shaft?

its also got the 12 bolt rear end and im using the bbc motor mounts. thanks

i ordered a d.s. from p.s.t...i think they had a worksheet..but i called them with the length on their sheet and i think they took it from there..nice d.s. about 300 slipped right in..i think it only took them 3 days and it was at my door..good luck

I think I responded to this someplace else...
BBC & SBC share engine mount to bell housing mount dimensions. There's no difference in driveshaft length unless you use a different trans or rear axle. The carb centerline is the same, too.
