Is it doable? I know 255/60/15s will fit good, but i'm wanting that extra height & width, Also, will they clear on a 78 cutlass stock wheel well? Any pics would be great.

It will be a little narrow, tread probly wear funny. Also in less you run a spacer the tire might rub on the inside. Buddy tried a 255 on a stock wheel and rubbed...

If a 255 is rubbing on a factory wheel, it must have some sort of weird offset...

I've run the 275/60/15 on 7 inch wheels for decades on several different cars. It works fine.

If it's like the Malibu and El Camino it should fit with the right backspace. You might have to roll the wheel opening.

Should fit fine, even room to spare. The Cutlass's have a larger wheel opening than Bu's and Camino's. I have 295/50 on 8" wheel and clears.
