6.0 manifolds?

This question is kind of far out there. I did a small search here and at ls1tech.com and came up with nothing. Anyone know if you can flip a set of 6.0 truck manifolds around and run them for a turbo set up. I do not have the motor mounted in the car yet or i would just cheack myself.

We just sold a set at a local swap meet last week, and that was the intention of the buyer.

yes you can, they say they are only good for about 1,000 hp but with our build we are gonna shoot for 1300, they say you get back pressure problem with them and that actual headers are better for for a budget build they would be just fine...what kinda power you looking to make?

Will be stock 5.3 with rod bolts so prob around 600 rwhp max. Parish is making almost that in the farimount and there is a guy on ls1tech putting down 550 in a fox body mustang on the same setup. I only have a set of 5.3 manis so 388bu if you could pm me a price on a set. Would be real nice if they were non egr.

You can use them but they have to point up, they wont fit pointing down.
Theres some pics here about 7 or 8 posts down http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/turbo-v8-conversions/200786-doing-lsx-turbo-swap.html

Hmm. Really don't want them pointing upwards like that. I guess the solution is to build a set or headers or something. This isn't a show car but don't want those nasty manifolds hanging way up there.

what i would do, since the motor will sit so low, is just use a motor plate and a mid plate and raise the motor up until those fit...(but i would think you would prolly have to raise the transmission too). when i read this the first time i just thought you were talking about an f-body.... sorry about that.

Yeah but then that creates a whole 'nother set of probs. Trans tunnel clearance, hood clearance if hes using the truck accesories(the alt barely clears the hood with normal swap mounts) and the truck intake. I will probably end up fabbbing some logs for mine when I do it.

Oh and btw theres no difference between the 5.3 & 6.0 manifolds
