Ok i took the 355 out of my 85s10 blazer and im going to put in a 6.0l.i do know quit a bit about the motors cause im around them but im looking for pics of 1st gen s10s with the ls base motor with a carb.the motor i pulled out ran good it was a 355 with rpm heads and would run 8.0s to 7.90s on motor and 7.20s on a 135 shot.so if anyone has pics or anything that i could go by please post them.Thanx Joey

and i know i have to notch the front cross member for oil pan clearence.this will be a cam and carb only setup so it should run better then my old setup by far.and i here people say that you can use your converter that you already have but you need a spacer.i dont want to get rid of my converter cause i like it it makes me happy.lol.so where do you get the spacer needed and i am going to be running my exsisting t350 cause i like it and i have to much money in it to want a different transmission.Joey

clearance?

How is the clearance for the firewall? I have a s10 with a 350 as well. Ive heard the LS motors can handle more power than the older blocks.

my driver side head is maybe 1cm away from the firewall, maybe a 1.5 cm's.....its close.

i had to grind off the ends of the screws that come through the firewall to mount the gas pedal because they were hitting the head.
