I got a question for the transmission guy's bout my '87 dually, would a 700R4 be a choice for my truck ? It would realy help to have the over drive for daily drive'n , my '92 1/2 ton got 10 mpg the dually get's 8.5 mpg ! I was used to the 10 mpg and can stand it , I think with OD I can get 10 or better in it . as far as I can tell it will exspensive to convert to a 4L80E where as I can come up with a 700R4 cheap . I figure the MonteCarlo and trailor is about or under 4000lbs .
