I have used this mod with an approx 400HP small block.


I still have this Xmember in my garage after almost 10 years of use.

Gonna buy a 700r4 and put in the car

Do you have more pictures like this? just to show us how the orginal looked like, because i havent begun checkin everything out, would be good to have more idea what im in for when i start.

I used a piece of square tubing and made a 700 crossmember for mine.

Thats all I did to my stock V8 81 Malibu cross member, Was cut a few inches off the mounting pad and drill a new hole for a 700R4 install. The mounting pad need`s to clear the 700R4`s pan. V6 cross member`s may be a little different, So I would install it bolt it in and see where it hits the pan.
