heres my idea i thought about removing the fuse blockand wiring in the engine bay and fabbing up a bracket to mount it under the dash with the wiring then cutting a hole for a grommet to send the alt , starter and the dist wiring through i did remove the heater box so no wires there and i dont have choke so no wire there then fabbing a cover for the existing fuse panel hole and utilizing that for the wiper wiring and brake wire i'm thinking i may have to extend some of the wires and getting a donor car at a salvage yard for factory plug/wire extensions i think it would give it a super clean look what do you think i know its alot of work but i think its worth it thanks

I can't really visualize it, but I'll say this.

Anytime you make a Rat's nest into Not a rat's nest, thats a good thing.

Not to naysay, but I did this and just went with an aftermarket fuse block and wires. I really am a proponent of not messing with 30 year old wires and hoping for the best, if you go to all the work make it better in quality not just in it's location. Besides from what I found the outside of the factory fuse block is exposed to the elements and just ahs some epoxy on it, that alone is enough reason to get rid of it. That was where mine had shorted and all my stuff stopped working intermitenly.
