hey well i ordered an oil pan Moroso MOR-20460 which i thought would be alright but i guess they engine shop is telling me its way too deep and i should go shorter and wider if need be.

MOR-20460
- 8 quarts
- 9.750" depth
- 4.250" maximum stroke
- also MOR-23030 windage tray
- also MOR-25970 oil dipstick
- also Summit SES-3-90-08-007 oil pump/pickup

i CANNOT use this and all we be for sale. but wondering who is riding a big block and what oil pan are you using with no complications. the shop would like to know ASAP so they can order me a pan.

My buddy runs that pan in his monte carlo with no problems at all.

i have a pretty serious big block and front tires may come up, im wondering since this will be hanging down, what 2 inches under the crossmember is it a good idea.

what kind of setup does your buddy have? front suspension? motor? does it lift off the ground?

I don't recall what the measurements are, but I run a Champ pan by JR manufacturing. See if you can find them on the web. If you can't, and are still interested in checking them out, make a post and I'll look up my receipt. They are very reasonable in price.

He runs small block springs up front with qa1 shocks, it comes off the ground, hasn't smashed the pan. The headers will get smashed before the oil pan. This is a car that will go high - mid 9s

im pretty much considering keeping this pan since i already have the pickup/pump, dipstick and windage tray for it along with the pan it looks like a real nice pan. if others are using it then i should be able to.

im running hooker super comp 2" headers and i know they will hit before the pan does. haha.

ya he runs the same headers, and has only scraped those one time over some train tracks. You should be fine, it's a good pan. You have all the stuff already might as well use it.

just my opinion.
