big block problems sweden!

hii, hope you understand my English, i have just finish a Engine swap in my Malibu-79 , the new Engine is a 454-73, i tryed to started it today, but it moves very Heavy, i have new battery and a nearly new starter, but its not enough, the battery is empty in a few seconds...can someone give me some help?

maybe your timing is to advanced?try turning it your distributor counterclockwise then see if it does the same thing.if you can keep a charger on while your trying to start the engine too.

turn the distributor clockwise to retard the timing. Also check that you have a good ground from your block to your battery.

I TRYED TO TURN THE DISTUBIUTOR AND THEN ITS GET BETTER, BUT AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE STARTER MOVE OUT OF POSITION SOME MILIMETERS AND THEN THE STARTER JUST SCREAM, WHATS WRONG?????
