it depends

sometimes the lag is good when your traction limited...like me, i hope to have boost start coming in late at around 3500-4000rpms when i go turbo

but if it hits too hard, one can be sent right into the wall...

lag should be almost not a problem with a properly tuned turbo set up, but dont get me wrong, there is still some lag. Some pre-stage and then start to bring the boost up and then the car will pull itself into the stage beam under boost, and thus, you are ready to run. Plus, i love that whistle of a turbo...

Blower vs turbo.

I am curious about one thing. Every turbo car I have seen, takes time to spool up at the line. For bracket racing, are these things effective? I know I have been surprised by the lights more than once.

The use of two steps and ignition controls have alleviated much of the spooling problems, and reduce the chances to burn the other guy down. The quickest, most reliable cars out there can bump in quickly and be just as successful. In general though, why would you want to be bracket racing with a power adder anyways?

I bracket race with a blower because I would rather be running 10's than 13's,and it is completely differennt than the other cookie cutter bracket cars, and I do very well with it,I wonder why more people dont run blowers

didnt i see a stock suspension monte do 4.80@150 with a turbo.. shane stack??? that suggests to me that the turbo lag you mention isnt that big of an issue....
