Brakes? retain factory brakes on my 12-bolt ?

I'm fixing to install my '70 Chevell 12-bolt in to my 'Bu, but I don't know if I should keep the factory brakes that came on the 12-bolt or switch to the brakes from my 7.5 rear end. The only reason I ask this is my 7.5 rear end has the good aluminum brake drums but I don't know if I can just swap the brake drums or if everything has to be swapped. I'm building this thing cheap so I don't want to go to a disc set up or anything like that.

I used aluminum drums on the a-body 72 10bolt I have in my car. They should fit a 12bolt. Backing plates will not swap.

thanks, just looking at them side by side they don't look the same size.
