i have a 350 in my malibu and cant fit a spacer with the factory manifold and hood, however im buying a 3 in cowl hood, and i was wondering how much horsepower roughly a carb spacer would add, i was told it would add a little bit. thanks, kyle

More info on the engine and set up. Is it a stock engine?

A spacer is a tuning device. Just adding one is not neccessarily going to show a gain. You have to try different ones & document the improvements.

On a mild small block set up like yours I would concentrate on the basics like good ignition/and curve, carb jetting, exhaust, etc.

From what I understand, It raises the rpm range where power is made. On a single plane intake it makes power at a higher rpm, so it would depend on how high you plan to turn your engine to gain power at more rpm. Just my .02
