ceramic coated headers and breaking in a cam ?

Why is breaking in a Cam so bad with Ceramic coated headers ? is it the heat ? It was a PTA removing the headers, installing factory exhaust manifolds then after the cam is broke in reinstall the headers .

I never had any issue with my Dougs ceramic coated headers breaking a fresh engine with a new camshaft, just make sure your timing and jetting are correct so it doesn't get lean hot (bad anytime) and it helps to have a couple box fans blowing on the radiator as extra insurance, and obviously keep a close eye on your guages!
