I need to rewire my car and am contimplating a painless 18circuit harness that plugs into the GM column.

I want to use the column for horn/signals, flashers, bright lights, and keyed ignition. Then the factory parking light/headlight switch. I also want to run a overhead bar mounted switch panel with n2o controls.

Now the ignition and coil will be inside the car along with relays for everything that needs them behind the glove box door.

Do you guys suggest that harness or another? The switch panel will take care of the h2o pump, fan, fuel pump, etc and the harness/fuse block I think would only need to be for the lights and factory stuff I'm keeping. I dont believe the lesser circuit harness has what I'm looking for and the 18 circuit has alot more than I'm looking for.

Would you guys mount the fuse block for the harness in factory position or behind the glovebox along with everything else for easy access?

I wouldn't use the fuse block for fan/pump etc since it's on the switch panel correct?

If you're getting the 18 circuit block I'd probably just use it for the whole car, as I'm pretty sure that's what it's designed for.

Street? Strip? I think the 18 circuit one has all the extras for updated stuff (EFI, electric water/fuel pump/fans, radio 12v constant, etc.). So for the stuff you have toggles for you could tie into this new harness instead of using two harnesses. Just wire your 12v feed for each circuit from the fuse block to the relays, and the wiring for the switches could be either constant or ignition-switched, I'm not sure what you had in mind for that. I'm a fan of running a fuse as close to the circuit's source as possible, and the fuse panel is a perfect spot IMO. Plus if you blow a fuse for something and your relays aren't labeled, it could be time consuming trying to figure out which is which.
