Tons of variables. Amount of boost being run, fuel type, etc, all play into it.

I wouldn't go over 9.5/1, but I think 8.4-9.0/1 would be the best range, when you go to high on the comp. you limit the tune up. You can, with lower comp. add more boost to make up any short falls if needed. On my Impala I run 8.0/1 with around 1100rwhp with 25lbs. boost only on E85 fuel. Before I used 93 oct. pump gas and 911rwhp. couldn't use as much boost or timing. The fuel does play a big part of the tune also. Hope this helps. Rod

good call. i'll be running a single turbo with about 8.5:1 squeeze, and i'll run 94 octane on the street with the boost limited to around 15 psi, and at the track, i'll dump in few gallons of 110 & crank the boost to 22-26 psi, & see what it'll do! i'm switching to aluminum heads, too, so i'll have a little more room to keep it out of detonation.

i'm stuck between two. i'm limited in my hp because i still have a stock block. later, i'll build a big cube sbc on a dart or w/p block with a single 106mm or possibly twin 64s. for now, on my 355, i'm thinking a garrett gt42(the 76mm one) should be good for 700-800 hp or so. but i might say to hell with it & go with a precision pt-88. what do you think? i'd like to go low 9s with this motor before i build a bigger one.

For the 355 I would look at an S400 (75mm) B/W we sell they for about $600.00.

that sounds about right. what hot side flange is that, and what a/r on both sides?

1) Big Procharger
2) Lots of Compression
3) As much Alcohol as you can pump through 24 160lb/hr injectors.

All you need ;)
lol...tryin' to keep it cheap! otherwise i would follow your advice to the letter!
