Crash Bar Removal

i know this sounds crazy but has anyone removed the crash bars from their cars? thanks if you have pictures that would be amazing also.

Sorry no pictures but I did remove them from a previous car. I used a plasma cutter and since I was painting the car when finished I cut an opening at the end of the door and slid it out in one piece through there. Most others I know who have done it cut it in 2 pieces and took it out through the door. The biggest concern is burning the paint on the door skin.

i did it the same way but with a cut off wheel.. the plasma cutter scared me with door pannel. Mine weighted 14.9 each
