Dash lighting

Hey does anyone have any good alternatives for those 6 little bulbs that come stock? I had my cluster apart to swap my spedo cable last week and I figured I'd replace the bulbs so it would be a bit brighter, but those bulbs are expensive for even the cheapest brand. For just a little bit more I wonder if I can rig up something with white LEDs because it would be almost $20 for bulbs that wont be much brighter than the ones I have now.

I don't really know anything about electrical stuff so I am not sure how to use, or if I would need, some sort of resistor.

someone a few months back did an led swap but the name escapes me@the moment.i can see it in my head but thats no help.and it was good too.hopefully they will see this thread and help you guys out.

This was a good thread....it's for the full guage cluster but the same idea would apply to the sweep style..

Wow! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the link! I have to wait until I get a few of the other projects i'm into out of the road, but I think some white LEDs are a must.

Superbrightleds.com... it's cheaper than you think for plug & play bulbs.
