I've always read that you are supposed to disconnect the negative battery cable when working on electrical stuff. Does it really matter? It's more convenient for me to unhook the pos. side. Just wondering.
EXCEPT-
If you do the positive first there is a chance that the uninsulated wrench can hit a ground and make alot of sparks.
If you wrench on the negative first and the wrench hits ground, no matter.
Just a safety issue is the reason for positive first.
