Do you need to keep the fan shroud when running electric fans?

Also, with a dual fan setup, what size fans fit in the stock radiator area?

Last but not least, what aftermarket companies are worth looking into when it comes to fans?

You shouldn't need a shroud, though it does help keep air from being pushed across the top & bottom of the radiator when in motion. I currently I'm thinking of trimming the one I have on mine (just the top piece right now, never had the bottom ), and getting a bottom piece as well to trim. Unless I wind up going back to a clutch fan (electric right now), as the one I had for my serpentine swap was larger for a full size pickup and hit the shroud, though one from an S10 with a serpentine setup may work for me (reverse rot. water pump).
