This is just for future information when someone may be searching about fan shrouds. The v6 fan shroud is actually 2 pieces. The schroud and then an outer ring. The outer ring is just stapled to the shroud, just remove the staples and instant v8 shroud....works for me at least.
It depends on the year. Some V6 shrouds aren't like that. Some times you can just cut the excess off the "ring" & sometimes the shape of it makes it impossible.

i grabbed mine off a mid 80's v-6 regal the one that has the metal plate {mounts to the support } then schroud mounts to the plate works fine for me would depend on fan diameter naturally this schroud also has bolts holding top to bottom
