Fuel Guage ground ?

Is there a ground for the sending unit itself or just at the guage? My guage is waaaaay off and I have to use the tripometer to figure out when to fuel up. The other day it rained and the guage appeared to be correct driving around in the wetness. Seemed a bit odd to me. As always, thanks in advance. You guys rock. party_guitar.gif

The 'wetness' may have been helping with the ground a little bit :lol: Full=high resistance on the gauge.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Glad to know I'm not completely crazy. :lol: Is the sending unit ground where it can be gotten to without dropping the tank?

This I cannot say, only tanks I've worked on have been in-tank pump EFI ones, so the ground was part of the harness going to the pump IIRC. Had to disconnect most/all of the stuff before dropping the tank completely.
