Fuel Pressure for Nitrous?

Right now my car is setup with a single Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator set at 40psi for my new injection setup. I have a single Walbro 255 in tank pump and -06an feed. I plan on adding a second 255 in tank pump, 1/2in pickup, and a -08an feed.

My motor right now makes 425-435hp and runs 12.0s. I plan on hitting it with a 150hp plate setup, possibly a 175hp if I feel lucky.

Will my new fuel system be adequate? Can I run my fuel solenoid off the same 40psi fuel supply? Or do I need to regulate it down to 6-8psi? I'd like to just run it at 40 and save plumbing and keep things cleaner.

You will need to regulate the flowing pressure down to 5.5 or 6 psi for nitrous.

mines set at 5 and 3/4 for the nitrous. i flow it though a line with a guage attached with a .73 nitrous jet before i make my passes. regulators will fluctulate so check it before you blast off

no he does not need to bring down the fuel pressure 40psi is fine you just have to have the proper jets. if the engine gets 40psi its fine to do the same for nitrous, if using a single nitrous jet and fuel jet at 40psi fuel pressure and bottle pressure at 1200psi should be a .058 nitrous jet and a .035 fuel jet for 150hp. no FI guy in the world turns down fuel pressure for nitrous just us carb guys =]

my mustang setup runs at about 60psi. its a nozzle style injector in front of the throttle bottle.

however i wouldn't suggest running at 1200psi as the pressure drops to quick from that level.
