Gauge Cluster Idiot Lights

2 questions ... can you buy a replacement idiot light overlay (whatever you actually call it on the right)? I have the lights under neath but not the transparent piece with the writting.

And has anyone ever modified their dash and made this something else, like a switch panel or another guage? Also was wondering if an iPod craddle might fit and could be fiberglassed in.

I think an iPod may be too wide, but I'm pretty sure the warning lights are replaceable, just pull them out of the sockets.

I have the sockets and the light, just not the piece that covers them. I guess I cut just make a panel to go behind the dash bezel as I will have full gauges and not really need the idiot lights.

Are you talking about the warning light overlay as circled in yellow?

if so I've seen them on ebay but not for some time now. Might have to find someone with a trashed bezels to get one.

Great question, i'm wondering the same thing as well. I'd like to take the "choke" warning light and some how make it say "check engine" for my LS engine swap.
