on their web site, they claim that when using their bearing kit for the 9" housing you must use adjustable control arms, any idea why?they don't say why u must.it stuck me as funny because i've never seen any other company make a claim that u must use adjustable control arms.

The 9" rear ends usually don't sit real centered in the wheel wells so in most cases we use adjustable control arms to center the rear end. This is a guess at why they recommend it, but we usually recommend adjustable control arms to be safe. The rear ends depend on the brands as well, some brands fit better than others.

Hope that helps some,
Ryan

IDK why it says that. It may be in reference to the variances in upper bushing placement on aftermarket 9" housings.

I have not used the new style uppers (yet). I do plan on getting them when $$ allows. I have stock uppers. That's the way GW used to have you setup the rear suspension when I got my stuff. They're a relatively new product, but I have used GW's stuff for years. Doug's a good guy & would not sell something bogus.

I have the Negative Roll 12" brake Delalum front upper A-arms & Delalum bushings in the stock lower front A-arms, the Delalum lower rears with the Spherical bearings. I still want to get the spherical bushings, upper arms & braces for the back. I don't see the point in getting the lower front A-arms for my application. The geometry is the same as stock & weight loss is not a critical issue to me.

i talked to a guy named Eric @global west today,he set me straight on all this.the spherical bearing in the rearend housing is just fine for street use,the only drawbacks he's run into was some people don't like the noise it makes at times but its usally covered by an exhaust sound.other than that its fine for street use.he filled me in on a bunch of things i was wondering,i guess being home sick wasn't all that bad after all!!!i'm going to switch my lower rears from the edelbrocs to their lowers also.thanks again tommy
