A couple of years ago I replaced the stock 7.5 rear with a Ford 9". Since then the brake pedal has been hard to press. I thought it might have been because of the cam, but had to swap to a milder engine due to parts breakage & still had the same problem. I then replaced the booster, thinking it was leaking, but still had the same problem. Not sure I wanna swap to manual brakes. Anyone have any suggestions?

We need more info than that. Did you swap to rear discs?

I'll guess either a sticking issue in the rear, or mismatched volume issue.

New shoes, drums, & wheel cylinders. No other changes to the car other than that. Feels a lot like no vacuum to booster, pedal is that hard.

Pedal is hard, you need a booster.

just cause u replaced it doesn't mean it's good.

Do you have a vacuum pump to test it?

also when you bled the brakes how was the flow out of the rear cylinders?
