i never had a problem with the headlights before i installed the h4 headlight conversion bulbs... what happens is with the h4 bulbs in the headlights go on and after being on for like 5 minutes the both just go off...and will come back on 15secs later??? i checked the grounds on the harness and one ground was broken half way.. fix that ground and problem is still there!!! i am unsure on what to look for or what to do??? anyone have an ideas or ever had this problem???

What wattage are the bulbs? The head light circuit has breakers in it. You're probably drawing too much amperage. The highest wattage bulbs I've been able to safely run in my G-bodies is 80/100.

I ran the same wattage on the '81 a few years ago and it melted part of the socket :? Wiring is ok, just got too hot for the plastic.
