Has anyone run a Hoosier 28.0 x 10.0 x 15 drag slick on a 15"x8" rim (4.25" BS) without rolling the fender lip on their G body?

I will run a Hoosier 28.0 x 9.0 x 15 slick if necessary, but would rather have the extra width offered by the 10.0 tire.

Here's the specs from Hoosier's website:

Item Number
Tire Size
Tread Pattern
Tread Width Approx.
Dia Approx.
Circ Recom.
Rim Meas.
Rim Section
Width Tire
Weight Compounds
18140 28.0/9.0-15 A 9.0" 28.0" 88.0" 8-10" 8" 11.1" 21 D06
18150 28.0/10.0-15 A 10.0" 28.0" 88.0" 8-10" 8" 11.7" 22 D06

The section width increases to 11.7" vs. 11.1" on the 10.0 tire compared to the 9.0 tire, respectively, on a 8" rim.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Greg, do you know what the section width is on your tire? I am ordering my wheels/tires here in the next day or 2 and need somewhat of an idea. Thanks.

the 28x9 firestone is almost identical to the hoosiers in size, & i believe the sect width is 10.5 or 11". i'm replacing these though with some hoosier quick time pros in 28x11.50, supposedly only a little wider than my current slicks. that's why i had to make sure i had the extra wiggle room i need for those qtp's. :D

Thanks for the input, guys.

MEGABU, I couldn't access the photo (I think it's something to do with the firewall here at work -- damn it, don't they know this is important! :!: )

The photos opened at home, MEGABU.

Thanks.

I think I'll go with the 9.0s, as I know they'll fit without any issues...
