Get in touch with Craig (388bu), he's done the swap and could probably point you in the right direction.

craig didn't do the GN swap...he followed my lead and adapted a GM truck unit to fit....it's pretty simple if you've got (or have access to) a welder and some common sense

if you are wanting a bolt on a go the malibu wagons/El Camino's with a diesel had the hydraboost also

Why didn't you go that route Matt? Is there something better about the GM truck unit?

I got a brand new truck unit for free....and the original diesel g-body units were the older tech with the internal reserve reservoir, according to the hydratech website they changed them internally in the mid to late 90's and they are a better design

but the main reason was the free part lol

I had less than $150 in the swap after I bought OEM replacement hoses, a 90 degree return line fitting from hydratech, and a 2 return line power steering pump housing

I can't give a ton of info because I wouldn't mind knowing what all is involved myself, but basically instead of having a vacuum booster for your brakes, your assistance comes from the power steering pump. Diesel trucks also use it, and the medium duty truck I drove many years ago (early '90s Chevy Kodiak flatbed) also had a hydraulic pump that kicked on if the engine wasn't running. I also recently discovered my dad's '03 Sierra pickup has this same feature, just by chance

Powermaster

Did you ever think about using the Powermaster system instead of the Hydroboost system? I have one on my Regal race car and like it for the following reasons. Its a stand alone system, takes up less room, probably weighs less, neater to look at, and will really stop the vehicle when needed. I paid $500 for my new at the Buick nationals in Bowling Green, Ky but I'm sure you can buy them for much less used. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thiinking about doing this myself too on the wagon. With Turbos planned for the future, I figured it would be a good idea to use the hydra-boost. I was thinkin GN/deisel g-body. But, since someone used a trucks, I guess the unit isn't all that much bigger.

I would guess the biggest deal would be moutning it (some welding required), and making sure the pushrod is the correct length as to not mess up the piston in the master.

Maybe we can get some pics of someones set-up?
