Lights Do not work

After a lot of rewiring the car my lights will not come on. The came on one time and since I turned them off they do not work anymore. The turn signals work and the brake lights work, however when using the headlight switch nothing comes on. I thought the switch was bad so I replaced it and still nothing. I tested the fuse block and it seems that anything that is hot all of the time does not work while everything attached to the accessory works fine. Is there an inline fuse somewhere? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Bryan

I could be wrong, beacuse I rewired my car about a year ago, but I would sya try checking the fuseable links down on the starter. Also if you rewired the starter and somehow the wires got put on there wrong that could be your problem, I am pretty sure that is where the hot wire from the battery and alternator went originally. Like I said I rewired my car and now it is a lot different that the factory had in 78. I hope this can help a little, and I am sure a member smarter than me can chime in with more info.
good luck

If the switch is new and you get 12 VDC at terminal 6, the It's gotta be either a bad dimmer switch, a bad feed from the switch to the headlights or a bad headlight ground.
