i can tell you i have a 427 with the closed chamber heads on it now. i have the comp cams small solid roller .624/.624 in it with a victor jr intake. on motor it runs 7 teens. converter and cam will be critical for your combo. if you dont want to go roller i would think you would need a good solid cam. I would call a few of the cam companies and converter companies to see what they suggest. I dont know if your car is a street car or strip only.

11.1 i run a mix of pump 93 and 110 while crusing. when i hit the 150 i run 110 its run a best of 6.65 in 100 degree heat. the car is kind of lazy on just motor. I dont like my converter selection. youll have about 20 more cubic inches which will help.

well i have some ross 12:7 close chamber 468ci pistons i can use but will they work with my stock 063 heads or its to much compression for the heads and they will not flow

i read on a GM Performance web site that the oval port heads i have (3931063 stock with new stainles steel valves) are on good for a max .650 lift and 6500 rpm
so what kind of intake and cam combo would you guys run with a 12:7 compression 468ci in a 3300lb car with 4.56 gears with a glide

i wouldnt let the springs dictate my cam choice. for all out drag i would contact bullet, lunati cams, or erson and see what they suggest. as far as intakes go the victor is hard to beat on a high compression big cam combo. just my 2 cents
