What has everyone used on their LSx swap? I read of interference issues with Phil's truck motor swap (and of the 2.8 pulley swap). I was cruising eBay and found a seller (via looking for swap mounts) and they said they also carry (I don't know if they actually make them) accessory drive setups for the S-truck swaps (the same vehicles we happen to use the serpentine setups from for the Gen I motors). I believe it would be safe to say the S-Truck LS setup would be safe to use as well.

Has anyone bought anything from these guys?

I'm also sorta posting this because I thought of Erik (Horsepwraddict) :)

Can I ask where you found that accessory drive setup? Is that a Car-Shop setup? Looks clean.

But look how close the tensioner pulley puts the belt on the water pump. Those things move about too. I would be concerned with that setup.

Thanks man! Right now im using the stock truck brackets, i might actually makemy own alternator bracket as im not running power steering. As far as Carshop inc being reputable....i bought a starter from them and shipping was fast and the price was absolutely unbeatable.

I plan to run the alternator where it is in that picture, minus all the junk on the right side. Unless i need an idler pulley to put more belt on the water pump, i dont thnk it'll be an issue though.

I got these drawings from a guy off ls1tech.com. They move the AC and Alternator locations lower if you have hood clearance issues with the truck accessory brackets. Here's what it looks like, but the guy has an A/C eliminator pulley installed instead of the compressor in this picture:

These are the mechanical drawings, right click and "save as" (big images):

I'm confused. Does that use any of the stock truck bracketry? The alternator hits my hood bracing using the truck brackets. Not bad, will need a small trim.

I couldn't actually find one for sale, they listed it with an item (LS1 S10 swap mounts). You'll probably have to e-mail them to get info

Id get a shorter belt, way too close...

X2, probably only a couple inches shorter, I was shocked how much of a difference a slightly shorter belt made on the position of the tensioner.

I used the stock truck brackets, but my motor is probably lower than most of yours. It is sitting on f-body rubber engine mounts and the frame side is custom made. The f-body oil pan sits less than a half inch off the frame. The alternator does clear the underhood brace by less than half an inch. Theres pics on my fquick account

that alternator is the big amp one (overkill), if you run a smaller 105 amp S-10 alt its alot smaller.
