Anybody have P255/60r15 ET Street's on 7" rims with 3.75" Backspacing on the rear of a '80 malibu? I have some on order. The section width is 0.7"
wider than a regular street tire.

i had some 255/70's. my wagon was lowered about 2'' out back and it rubbed the sidewall when turned or went into a driveway, and that was also with a rolled fender lip. also how does your cam work for you? i have the same camshaft but the car isn't done yet and i know absolutley nobody thats runs that specific grind.

Do you know what your backpspacing is? My car I raised up 1" but I'm worried about rubbing the frame. I have the P255R60 Defenders right now
but the Et streets are 0.7" wider.

I have no problem with the cam, The brakes work great but with hard vacuumn line connections.

I use that exact size tire with 15X8 with 4" backspace. About 3/8" clearance at the frame. You are gonna be close.

Thanks Chuck, I talked to a Tech at Mickey Thompson, there specs are based on a 8" rim he said a 7" would be aprrox 1/4" per side narrow. Plus
3 3/4 backspace should give me a little more, but I agree it still will be close. I checked my P25560R15 Defenders and I have about 5/8 towards the rear by some bracketry back there. They say though, a tire is the smallest it will ever be out of the mold.Even with wear they get bigger, and the Defenders are WORE out!

Jordan, the idle is rough when cold but mild when warmed up. I have a stock converter from a grand national, I think its a 2200 or 2300.... thats why I have been putting so much info in my profile because I forget!
