My car is weighing in at 3400 pounds and mickey T recommends an 8 ply sportsman front tire. Seems alittle much, what ply front tires are you guys running? anybody running a 4 ply sportsman on a heavy street car? Opinions and setups appreciated.

Im running a 4 ply on my car and it is just fine. Been 127 at the track and maybe a little faster on the street with them...
When I got a set almost 14 years ago, they only made the 4 ply. I ran them at 3600 lbs with an iron headed bbc, no problems.
If your worried about the 4 ply's, then don't even look at the drag front tires. As light as the drag tires are, I compare it to running a relay race wearing bedroom slippers.
