the car has a LQ9 6.0 out of an escalade, and down here in "MIAMI" we call this body of caprice a "BOX" so thats why they call it "BOXCALADE"... :? anyways the motor is COMPLETELY stock except for the edelbrock cam part # 2216, and of course the performer rpm intake 750 holley & and only a 150 shot of nitrous(to get 4000lbs out the hole!) the transmission is a 700r4, a 2500 stall converter and a 4:56 posi rear and a dirty motor! the headers are the ones that street & performance sell for a g- body. when we first built this car nobody sold any of the conversion mounts or anything to make the job easier, so we had to order things and hoped they worked but they clear perfect. im building 2 other caprices with LQ9s and im using the same headers.
Let me know how them L92's work , my motor wont be done for a while. You know anybody with a 8.5?
what car were we racing? cause some of the races were on motor and some on nitrous... i just finished my car and drove it open headers but as soon as i hang my exhaust ill be terrorizing the streets!
and bout the 8.5 my boy just sold one for $700.oo non-posi... but if i here of another one ill let uno. those things are gold down here!
