Anyone have any clue how much going from 14" 150lbs rear springs to 14" 130lbs rear spring will lower my car

Id like to lower car about inch and i figured a 150lbs 12" spring will lower it 2 inches being spring is 2 inches shorter.
I also think a 12" spring would fall out if i put car on the lift.

Its hard to say just how much your car is going to drop. It should drop some but not sure how much. Sorry about such a vague answer.

If you have some springs already you can calculate on paper what different springs will do. They are rated based on how much they will drop per inch. So hence a 150# spring will drop 1" per 150 pounds. make sure you figure coil bind also. 14" 130# are close to stock height on a Malibu with a cell, etc.

if you are worried about losing the coil you can always run limiting straps like on the 4x4s :-k

my car plants pretty hard with the hi-trac 9inch rear. if i spray it off line the rear can lift up and the spring will fall out. ive done it with stock cut springs.

of course i could adjust rear to not plant so hard but track prep sucks here at my track.
