I am driving a 78 Bu i drive it on the street and take it to the track occasionally.

When at the track (Keep in mind 1/8 mile) I run consistant 7.65 - 7.67

I am wanting to run a 7.50 index and not wanting to rework the motor this year.

The question is do you thin changing form 3:73 gears to 4:10's will get me close to this index or is it even worth the change out. The gears wont hurt me on the street as i am running a 700R transmission.

Your oppinions and suggestions will be appreciated.

using Drag2003, and guessing on some of the varibles, it looks like if you can keep it hooking, it says you will pick up about 2 tenths in the 8th. So it looks like it would put you closer to your goal.
