front rim size 15x6 weld draglite 3.5 backspace 235/60r15
rear rim size 15x8 weld draglite 3.5 backspacing 275/50r15
will this fit on a 79 malibu stock wheel opening and no frame mods or anything strictly oem. also can i run a 50 series tire on the front? 235/50r15? getting ready to order and having some trouble just want to make sure before i purchase. will be running the umi front upper and lower tubular a arms also. thanks for any help casey.

235 60/15 is right at the max recommended size tire for a 6" wheel. I also don't think you'll find a 235/50 15 very easily, if at all. I think you'll find a 275/50 15 on a 3.5" BS wheel will rub on the outside fender lip. It will also be obviuosly way too wide for a 6" wheel & it will be pinched to the point of not having the contact patch meet the ground properly.

I ran 235/60 15 onm 7" Monte SS wheels with 3.75" BS for years. On the back I ran 255/60 15 on the same wheel. IDK if a 275/60 will clear everything back there.
