Is it rocket science? I can cut,Welding isnt my strong point but Im friends with a bunch of fab guys so its huge deal. Its only an 8.2 so I really dont want to sink 900 into a rear and new wheels that probably isnt permanent.

IMO, an 8.2 isn't worth putting a lot of effort into. It is an improvement over a 7.5", but not a whole lot and there isn't much in the way of aftermarket parts for them since GM only made them for 5 years...

I figured that..the plan is 12 bolt once I find one thats affordable but I thought why not practice on this one if I destroy it im not horribly worried.
