Hi guys, have some rust issues. wondering if anyone knows if i can get this panel anywhere. it's the one directly below where the rear speakers go. the one that attaches to the rear inner fender well's. any info would be appreciated. I've ben looking but, have'nt found anything. if someone out there is doing a part out and this panel is good let me know. Also, would a 4-door panel, or a different G-body panel work. Oh, duh, the panel is needed for a 78' malibu 2-door. located in Harbor Beach, Mi.

Maybe cut it out and fabricate something???? I don't have a catalog in front of me, but what about NPD? They're pretty good with that type of stuff...

yea, that pic is from before i took it out. i planned on fabbing some good metal to the bad. bought a 1986 cutless 442 that had bucket's, tilt column, auto floor shift w/console. 8.5 posi rear, all the stuff i want to put into the bu. cut out the panel from donor car but it was just as bad. i am trying to make one good out of two, but thought it would be a heck of a-lot easier to just install new or rust-free donor panel. the panel in the grass is original bu' part. 442 part not much better.

(maybe) LOL. anyway here is pics of what i have so far. by the way i'm not a professional bodyman as you can see from my work.

Actually, I think you're doing a stand-up job.... Nice fabrication. I'm surprised that there wasn't anything on the National Parts Depot website....

Imma take look.....

Yeah, no Malibu floor brace... FYI, the Malibu parts on the NPD website are listed under Chevelle 1964-1983.....

thanks for the compliment. i checked npd, sherman, & mikes monte's. seems the only sheetmetal that i can find is door, fender, hood, and floor pans. not finding anything for the trunk area.
