S-10 Rear Brakes

I did not research this at all but was wondering if the rear disk brakes from a later s-10/jimmy wuold work on the stock malibu 7.5" rear. My cuz has a 98 jimmy and it has rear disk, and I know it is a 7.5"/7.6" rear. Just wanted to know if this was ever tried Thanks.

i read or heard of a guy that did a swap like this but they were off of a full size tahoe not the s series, but if they are the same rear then i'd assume the'd work for both. I think i heard like mid to late 90s tahoe was what he used...this was a while ago so do the research before buying stuff i coudl be wrong. :roll: i do know that you will have to fab up some brackets to mount the calipers and i think they use an internal parking brake so that would have to be modified to work on a malibu
