s-10 spindle q's

i was watching horse power tv today saw the repeat of the 79 malibu , they used a set of s-10 spindles and i believe they said it would drop the bu 2" was wondering if just any set of s-10 spindles { 2 wheel drive } will achieve this goal or do they need to be s-10 2" drop another question i have is brake set up as i would do this on the cheap i would like to retain the factory bu brakes thanks

I'm currently running Belltech S10 2" drop spindles (#2100), everything bolted right up, drove it all summer without issues. Just be sure to get an alignment after changing them.

thats what they installed on the horse power tv , i was just wondering if the stock s-10 spindles would lower the bu if not what is the difference between bu 2 " drops and the s-10 2"drops

I have the spindles, control arms, brakes, and all, off a 92 S-10 on mine, it sat stock level.

They're the same spindles. Same part number. The ones I had I originally got for my '91 Sonoma, but decided to put 'em on the 'Bu.

Just make sure you take extreme care where the spring is concerned!

yea those springs make me nervous after i compress them i wrap a thick chain through and bolt the chain 2 gether thanks

Don't take the shock out. The spring can't come out then.
