spedometer probelms

my spedo in my regal dosnt work (78 with a 305) what do i check to see if its the gauge itself or the cable?? i took the dash out before maybe i knocked something loose or something.

also only the spedo lights up arethe gas andclock supposed to light up as well??

a cable runs the speedo. That is held to the speedo itself with a little clip, you might have just pulled the cable away. If you take the cluster back out you should see a bunch of little bulbs for the dash also
